Terms of Use for iVisionGuard

These Terms of Use govern the use of the iVisionGuard mobile application (the “Application”). By installing or using the Application, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Application.

1. Purpose of the Application

iVisionGuard is designed to help reduce eye strain by monitoring the distance between the user’s face and the smartphone screen.

The Application is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. All notifications and recommendations are informational only.

If you experience vision problems, consult a qualified healthcare professional.

2. Age Requirements

The Application is intended for users aged 13 and older.
Children under 13 may use the Application only under supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

Parents and guardians are responsible for configuring and monitoring the Application when used by children.

3. Required Permissions

To function properly, the Application may request the following permissions:

• Camera — used to determine the distance between the user’s face and the screen
• Foreground Service — required for continuous monitoring while the app runs in the foreground
• Foreground Service (Camera) — required for camera-based monitoring in foreground service
• Notifications — used to send alerts when unsafe distance is detected
• Vibrate — used for haptic alerts
• Draw over other apps (System Alert Window) — used to display warning overlay on top of other applications
• Ignore Battery Optimizations — used to allow continuous background monitoring
• Billing — used for in-app purchases and premium features

Denying required permissions may limit or disable some functionality of the Application.

4. Camera Usage

The Application uses the front camera solely to estimate the distance between the device and the user’s face.

• No photos or videos are recorded
• No images are stored
• No camera data is transmitted to external servers
• All processing occurs locally on the device

The camera functions only as a distance sensor.

5. Measurement Accuracy

Distance estimation is algorithm-based and may be affected by:

• lighting conditions
• device angle
• camera quality
• device model
• user position

The developer does not guarantee absolute accuracy.

6. Background Operation

The Application may run in the foreground service and background mode to provide continuous monitoring. This may affect:

• battery usage
• device performance
• system notifications

Users may disable background operation in system settings, which may reduce functionality.

7. Alerts and Overlays

The Application may:

• display visual alerts
• play sound notifications
• trigger vibration alerts
• reduce screen brightness
• display warning overlays above other applications

These actions are intended to help users maintain a safe viewing distance.

8. Paid Features

The Application follows a freemium model:

• core features are available for free
• advanced features are available via in-app purchase

All payments are processed through the Google Play billing system. Refunds are handled according to Google Play policies.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Application is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

The developer is not responsible for:

• vision deterioration
• inaccurate distance detection
• device incompatibility
• operating system restrictions
• disabled permissions
• battery consumption

10. Intellectual Property

All rights to the Application, including software, design, algorithms, and branding, belong to the developer and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the Application without permission.

11. Updates

The developer reserves the right to modify the Application and these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on the official website.

Continued use of the Application constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

12. Termination

Users may stop using the Application at any time by uninstalling it from their device.

By using iVisionGuard, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Terms of Use.
